Got this for my son's 9th birthday and he spent the whole afternoon driving under the beds, then showing us the footage on my old phone. The magnetic camera has survived a lot of skirting-board crashes so far.
The first-person view is the whole point and it delivers. Picture is fine for a toy, not GoPro quality, and it gets choppy if you drive into another room. Still laughed the entire time chasing the cat.
Went with the 2-battery package and glad I did. We swap and keep going instead of waiting around. Took a couple of goes to fit the drift tyres, but on the garage floor it slides beautifully.
Looks great and the remote feels solid in the hand. On carpet it barely drifts, though. You really need a smooth floor or the driveway. Once I moved it outside it was a lot more fun.
Bought it as a joke gift for my partner and now I can't get it back off him. The buzz in the remote when you crash is weirdly satisfying. Came well packed and tracking updated the whole way.
Ordered two, yellow and red, so the kids could race instead of fighting over one remote. The 2-car discount made it an easy decision. The app works but could be a bit more polished.
The cones sound like a small thing but we set up a course in the shed and it's turned into a weekend ritual with my teenager. Trigger throttle feels like a proper RC remote.
The little headlights look so cute driving around in the dark, and USB-C charging means I don't need another cable. One star off because the outer box was squashed, but the car inside was perfect.
